Naropa University is the home of the Chogyam Trungpa Institute. Established in 1974 by Chogyam Trungpa, Naropa is a private, nonprofit liberal arts university located in Boulder, Colorado. Naropa offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, both on campus and virtual, in psychology, interdisciplinary studies, religious studies, chaplaincy, yoga, environmental studies and creative writing. The contemplative practices of mindfulness, awareness and compassion are integrated into all courses of study. Naropa also offers continuing professional education through its Extended Campus.
