In the ordinary, usual world that we live in, there is always a charnel ground of some kind — where we try to catch each other’s toes and bite each other’s tails. This is called business mentality or competitiveness, friendship, or any of the many words that we use. This is the charnel ground– and we don’t like it. We want to get to a higher level. But everything starts from the first level of the truth of suffering and the origin of suffering. And the Buddhist approach to studying our particular state of mind is simply an attempt to understand the notion of charnel ground properly and fully.

Praise for the book:
“These brilliant and profound tantric teachings fearlessly proclaim all-pervasive wisdom. They invite us to step beyond aggression and the warfare of materialism. Through our reading, study and practice, we join the vast celebration of wakefulness. — Gaylon Ferguson, author of Welcoming Beginner’s Mind.
