Suffering of Suffering

An example of the suffering of suffering is that you have a bankruptcy, and on top of that, you are arrested by the police. You have a problem with your life, and then you have a great attack of the flu. You are confused already, and then you get another message that is even more confusing. It is one thing after another–one confusion after another, one chaos after another–taking place all the time. That is the suffering of suffering. We are unable to create magic out of situations of suffering and resentment. We realize that we have to try to accommodate situations of suffering, but we do not actually feel at all accommodating. It is very confusing.
