Naropa University, a recognized leader in contemplative education, celebrated its 40th Anniversary in 2014. Established by Chogyam Trungpa and his students, Naropa is a Buddhist-inspired, student-centered liberal arts university in Boulder, Colorado. The Legacy Project is in discussion with Naropa about how we can mutually support each other’s missions and collaborate in appropriate areas. We will announce several joint ventures in 2016.

2018: The Legacy Project and Naropa University are pleased to announce the establishment of The Chogyam Trungpa Institute at Naropa.
CTI will be an academic center of excellence and a research center, encouraging critical assessment of Chogyam Trungpa’s teachings and his place in the development of Buddhism in the West. The Institute will host CHELA, a digital platform for his extensive lectures, poetry, and art. CTI will also support new directions that honor the spirit of his work, connecting with the work of scholars, artists, and poets who were influenced by Chogyam Trungpa or who taught and studied at Naropa.
